Adam and Eve
Suspend your understanding of the Adam and Eve ‘story’ for a while and let us just look at it from the point of view of what is written.
God so loved Adam that he sent an angel to him with a book of rules and regulations about how he should behave in the Garden of Eden.
No, that doesn’t ring true.
Read it for yourself in Genesis. God loved Adam so much that he didn’t want Adam to be alone.
God’s first concern was that Adam showed respect to God by obeying some simple instructions.
Then God’s concern for Adam was that Adam should not be alone. That Adam should have someone to share his life with.
Obedience came first.
