The Editor
When I produced the Unity album I did so to promote the abundant talent I had come across in the Christian community locally and if we made more money than breaking even, any profits would go towards the costs of producing the Bound Together Christian magazine. We broke even and that was just about it. It takes more effort than I had, to promote and push for sales. There are some fabulous songs on the album. They would bless you.
I didn’t include any of my own songs because I didn’t want my motives put in the mixer.
If the gifts and talents of the Christian community were mobilised the churches would be full. Unfortunately, there have always been forces within the Christian Church working against what Jesus wants and such tradition strangles its offspring at birth.
Jesus wept over Jerusalem and I think He must weep at the waste of the talent that he has provided, in your town, your church and your head.
The Unity album is just a tiny glimpse into a very large store house waiting to be opened to feed God’s people.
As for me, I’ve written dozens of songs and I hope to put some of them on an ‘album’ (are there such things these days?) when the first issue of my book on Carlisle’s Millennium Project and its consequences is finished and in print.
Hopefully this year.
The song playing on this page, I wrote fourteen years ago.
It is taken from an album produced by Helen Bainbridge to raise funds for the street
children in Brazil. David Isaac produced the track with various instruments -
The album is called ‘Esperanza’ -
Hope you like it.
I mostly sing my songs in my house and only my wife and God’s tiniest creatures get to hear them.
I used to busk on the streets, but it is too dangerous now for reasons explained elsewhere.
If you would like to hear my songs, I will play them to an audience of one, or a group, or a church, or anywhere.
If you have a gift, you can share it in the Arts section of this site.
Cheers
Les
